BIPOC designers sometimes feel like we have to work twice as hard to prove ourselves, that no matter what we do, it's never enough.
About Gail's talk
BIPOC designers sometimes feel like we have to work twice as hard to prove ourselves, that no matter what we do, it's never enough. Let's talk about this together, out in the open (or at least, I will!). Join me for some honest stories, both good and bad, of what it's like to navigate the design world as a person of color from the anything-goes 1980s though our current more thoughtful (?) climate.
Participants can expect to learn:
A better basic understanding of DEI issues
Honest answers to uncomfortable questions
One designer's journey through cringeworthy-to-woke times
